looks pretty slick. Just improve that grass map, add some dirt around the trees and what not and it would look much better IMO.

I like it, the sky is great and the ilum is fantastic good atmosphere, but those billboards in foreground... I don´t know (I think they don´t match with the overall image)

Also decrease the scale of the water waves.. the wavelengths seem too long and also wave height should be less I think.
The buildings look pretty nice I think

How do you guy's do your foliage? It's not feasible to use 3D trees and shrubs so what other options are there?

If the foreground has few trees you can make it in 3D (do you have some software to make 3d veg, or library?), but if you need a lot of trees put 3 or 4 3D trees in your foreground without anything else and render it and make your own billboard.

It looks fine to me, some of the other guys pointed out a couple of things which could be adjusted. Only thing tho that bothers me is the title of your work, i'd named it "On the shore" or something along those lines a silly detail i know..

try a a little bump wave

maybe use to bump original + small bump wave
