Well you may have seen my post last week but I am also having sunlight issues. I cant seem to control how the light interacts with my scene the way I would like. I am trying to get burned hotspots beaming through my windows and I cant even create a proper sun yet.
I am using 3d Studio Max. I create a sphere of 32 segments, throw it way back into the horizon and scale it accordingly for realistic sharp shadows. I set the turbidity of the atmosphere as such to give a deep orange sunset. None of this works. I cant seem to get the sphere sun to work with the sunlight checkbox in environment panel. As I missing something.
To be honest I cant even get a large box emitter to work either. Look, no hotspots: (sorry my latest render was overridden)
And why is my render coming out nearly black? Its okay in the maxwell frame buffer but on output it looks like someone switched all my lights off. Having to adjust my curves each time.
Finally, is there a proper way now to save output to a specified directory and have it actually work yet? Or do I still have to resort to the output directory in my install path?
Cheers!
