Hi, this is an old model I wanted to render with maxwell. It's clean to me after 6 hours, level 18 reached. Athlon 64 3400 1 gig DDRAM.
It has some smoothing issues, I think, and a strange kind of fog in the lower part of the glass.

Image

btw, the glass part is made of a nurbs surface.

great!

renato, i would like to say the following :D
- raise the surface and curve approximation of the nurbs
- give uv roughness for coppers (eg. u=3.2, v=2.0)
- lower the shutterspeed (eq. halve it)
- even try to give uv=0.1 or 0.05 to the glass
- 8 bounces seems enough with the ver 1.1.23, if it's higher you may consider to lower the bounces also

...and the thing you called fog is a result of fresnel which reflects the ceramic body and cuts-off the transparency there, this is amazing :)
