MAXWELL RENDER FORUM = Maxwell renders and tech issues

USER GALLERY= Users images that were generated, in part, by maxwell. to this point many users have posted post processed images and said nothing about the post, only to have someone say... hmmm that's really noise free did you usde neat image? yes.....

and last - With the latest beta, my dual opteron ripps through these renders at totally acceptable speeds for production. You'll see Maxwell in production VERY SOON.

oy........it makes little sense to use such an accurate renderer as Maxwell for this image, when in fact you are not using any of the benefits Maxwell offers you....well except the easy setup, but quality wise it makes no sense...

There's no point rendering a car with a diffuse material when trying to simulate carpaint. All the subtle changes in lighting and reflection are LOST when using the diffuse....

you can't compare the post done on this image with the others where someone just reduced the noise!

sure this is an artistic gallery, BUT it's on the Maxwell forum, and more than that, it's the Maxwell beta forum.....so we are interested in seeing what Maxwell is capable of and not so much seeing what your skills are in post work.

I'm sorry, it's nothing against sqwall who is obviously very talented, but to me it makes no sense at all posting images with this much post work done on them in this forum.

I really can not believe what I'm reading here and really think it's time to close this thread. I thought rendering was for creative people with creative solutions. Not for tech-freaks only Especially in this pre-release period I'm really interested in these solutions.

So: Sqwall, very creative solution, but you should have mentioned it in your first post.
