I'm making some instancing tests with geometric grass blades and I'm getting a benchmark of ~20 rendering a 640x480 image with a dual core. (I don't know if this post is useful for something and I think it's going off topic also as this is a gallery... but here it goes; I'll remove this if you want, of course)

Nice work Brian. I'm not a huge fan of the glare/flare look on renders so I prefer the sharper shots, or somewhere in between, but overall very nice.

How long was the rendertime for each picture and how high was the SL-

three crits...

- under some cam angles the fire look flat...
- the brown leather looks like chocolate a bit (yum yum)
- maybe try to add a bit of color to the glass table... too transparent..

How long was the rendertime for each picture and how high was the S.L.?
Probably 12-15 hrs. for each render and S.L. 10-11.
I have plans to resume them to get rid of more noise later.
how is the componets in your machine cpu and Ram ?
Dual Quad Xeon 5355
16 Gb Ram
Quadro FX 4500
Vista 64

It comes in handy in a crunch!
