Matador Remote ( www.arkadin.biz ) is a complex software that to allows to import several 3D formats and to render it under the not so fantastic rendering engine called Lightwave. It speeds up rendering times since the rendering are automatically executed on a 70 cpu cluster and then send back to Matador Remote. All traffic is 256 bit encrypted. Matador Remote has big problems to render efficiently scenes with artificial light, Indoor natural light, and huge amounts of reflecting surfaces.
For that, with the help of Next Limit's team we are porting the whole Matador Remote system under Maxwell. With Maxwell, Matador will be serious and very fast.
So basically we use Metador remote to convert our model and then email it to you .... and then you email back the redered version ? Is that how it works ?

... and, I suppose there is a monthly subscription for the service ? or is it per job ?

Confused...............

So what will be the point of Maxwells own cooperative rendering capabilities/system? What if I have my own say 30 pc renderfarm?

If you are talking about the effect of the motion blur? ...then Maxwell ! :D

I am refering to the kinematics / choreography (not the motion blur).

aaahh, thanks :D

Great stuff 8)

Are you using the Metador service for the rendering aspect ? (Thats a whole bunch of frames for this animation, can't believe you did it all on the dual xeon ... )

80% Dual Xeon @ 3Ghz (3min per frame)
10% P4 2.8
10% AMD64 3500+

Very nice Adronikos,

The render was rock solid- no noise trailies or anything, very clean. I realize the camera did not move.

Did you render the background, then comp it into the animation of the soldier?

Or is this all rendered in one environment including the soldier movement?

Hi Tyrone, everything is in one pass... I am preparing on more Soldier animation with fog, camera motion etc.... I think you will like it.

Oscar: If my Xeon dies will NL warranty cover that? :-)
