Could you elaborate on two things? Maybe it's getting lost in translation.

You mention displacement map for both the water and rocks in the scene. I was under the impression that displacement mapping was not working in M~R. Am I missing something? It looks modeled.

Also, you added the foam to the water in Photoshop with matte painting? I am familiar with the term as a general technique to paint a part of a composited image I donlt know if that is what you meant or if there is a more specific technique I am not familiar with.

Again, thanks for sharing the knowledge. What a beautiful image!
