Thanks...

@Kami... ermm.. these are pretty much raw renders, besides the backgound and shadow, but you can see on bottles (real print...) that they basically adusted the levels even higher... ...

:)

I can't remember seeing it here in the stores, but then again we have sooo many different brands of lemonade it's crazy. I'll take a look again if i can see it. If i do i'll shoot some pics of it in the shelves. The lemonade manufacturer appears to be Norwegian, they are called Stabburet. As i live relatively close to Norway it could find it's way to the stores here too. :)

Hervé wrote:Thank you all... ok Tom is right.. here are the fruits..

(btw m-Que, Nora is not imported where I live... hehe.. this is why I was hopping a Maxwell user from Norway... :D )

ok, here the renders... this is the way the client wanted it.. so forget realism... I learn with that project that pure realism on food products does not sell... even when it is a photo, they always heavily PS it... they need realism.. but their view of realism...

Their goal was to show all fruits at the same size...

Exactly Herv + ALT + 0233 ... :)

Been saying it for years ... seems only the marketing/ad guys understand this.

Reality doesn't sell ... It's the ultra-hyper-non-reality one that looks a lot like ours that does. Maxwell in and of itself can only aid in that process -- cleverness, skill and experience take it to the finish line.

And great work here ... ;)

Nice work Hervé, are the water droplets just slightly deformed spheres? and if so are they boolean'd from the fruit or projected from the fruit surface, just curious

Thank you Chris/Three.. hihi.. :D yes unfortunately when it comes to packagings of " low cost mass products.". reality does not sell.. in a supermarket I go from time to time, they have a real nice (and good) orange juice, but apparently the manufacter let his grand son took the pictures of the oranges that are on bottle.. .It cost almost 1 euro less than the tropicana juice just next to it.... but people don't even touch it.. like it would be dirty or something.. pretty funny. hehe

Brett... none of what you're saying.... :|
Method :
There are two fruits in fact... one slightly bigger (like 5 um / 10 um..)... the biggest one is imported in 3D coat, where I made brushes from drops that I modeled, ... then a disp map and an alpha map based on disp map are created...

In studio, I imported both fruits (the "fruit" fruit + the "water" fruit).. :D . the alpha map hides all non-droplets water parts... voila.. but it was some work, I tell you...

You have to admit though ... The name Tropicana is very nice. Coming up with something like that is worth a bundle. lol..

They could of had..

Organicana
Tropicona
Tropicala
Tropicanga
Orangico

...they definitely got it right. The sad thing is the poor sap who came up with it was probably just a staffer on payroll and never saw a cent past his salary. ...but maybe not.

Sounds like a lot of work! Very nice result though, was looking at 3d coat, has to be worth the $300 no?
