Thanks Brett. Yeah I was wondering if some would appear washed out. Especially the 3rd one. I have a dual monitor setup and on one screen it looks ok with the contrast and on the other it seems a bit washed out. I dont know which one is telling me the truth. I have a better idea now though since you tell me they look washed out. Its my 21" Cintiq that is the liar!simmsimaging wrote:Nice work Eric!
I think the renders could stand a bit more contrast - beefing up the blacks really, but otherwise very well done.
Are the materials these are made from different from unit to unit? Some appear more plastic-like etc. due to the glossiness/roughness.

Yep it has. That reminds me those images you helped me on those paint sprayers I saw in the store finally the other day. I need to post those also. Those turned out really good. Im all about some power tools lately.....Hope I dont get pigenholed.........nooo im feeling the design walls close in. Must escape one direction career path....ahhhhivox3 wrote:You nailed the Rigid style and for that matter, ..the Husky too.
All around nicely done Eric. ...
It's been a year already huh .... ? ..
Thanks man your work inspires me so your comments mean a lot. Don't be too impressed though the Engines are provided by Subaru and Honda The pump is also provided off shelf. These vendors send us the cad files for those components. We just built a frame and some parts that go around these main components. The gun that is on the ridgid units was sketched by one of our talented interns and modeled by one of our other designers who is very good. So I don't do it all for sure. My main focus of work was everything but the gun and pre-exisiting engine and pump though and it was a few months of work. The parts we do were sent directly to tooling for manufacture production. I make our sheet metal vendor in China life very difficult with those ridgid metal faceplate's. But in the end they pull it off. Oh yes an Intern and I both did all the graphics and labels. That took more time than all the other parts!hyltom wrote:Very nice work Eric. The render are really nice and well done but i' m mostly impressed by the complexity of the product (many part) that you handle. Have you model everything yourself? If yes, it should take a enormous amount of time to make one project.
When i see what you are doing and what i' m doing, this make me think that we don't make the same jobs even if we call ourself industrial designer. Anyhow, I'm very impressed by your engineer and designer skill, far better than mine.
I have check your website and have one question: Do you work alone?
