Looks like some minor level adjusting to get more contrast in the images and then a bit of sharpening (smart sharpen is the easiest way to control over sharpening)

I'm assuming that's what Devista did.

I use a mix: fade, levels, hue/saturation, shadows/hightlights and unsharp mask

I gave it a try in Photoshop and I saw that curves give a good result aswell.
