This started initially as a test subject with the cinemaxwell plugin but the quality was pleasing enough that I decided to add it to the gallery.

Although the SSS quality is very good, the tubes actually have different SSS settings. The absorbance and SSS ratio currently does not seem to be as sensitive as the results from other tests that have been made with SSS. I will conduct one more test with this scene to see if color lightness has an effect on this as the color is maybe darker than it should be for SSS. At least that is my theory and I am sticking to it!

...it's subtle, but to me it looks like the bleeding above the black bars is thinner for the left configuration.
