Model / Actress Kelly Polk portrays Alma in a tribute to Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1989 film Santa Sangre

Pretty much everything is Maxwell except for the figure and the candle tops. Even the sleeves and skirt are Maxwell. re: the candles - I never really got the SSS working the way I wanted it, but they all sit on Maxwell bases from midpoint on down.

I really like the floor material.
There's an issue with SSS in the current version of Maxwell - the noise never seem to disappear.

For the floor I took photos of pine boards and created bump map and 'varnish' maps from the grain luminosity.

Supposed to be rim lighting. I shot her with a dim fresnel hot light from the front and tried to add blue backlighting using strobes but the lighting never really worked the way I wanted, so I tried hand painting the lighting on. I had it on the hair, too, for a while but backed off because I think hand painting rimlit hair my be a bit beyond my ability to do convincingly. I probably should have dropped it from the arms as well.
