That's actually quite interesting! Is this a wrist watch or something that you put on a table? Somehow, I made an assumption that those little white plastic looking squares light up based on the time?

And also, since the whole thing round (and wood), where do you put the battery in it?

Anyhow, when it comes out, I'll buy one cuz I really dig it

It is indeed a wrist watch and the concept is, that
time "flows" around your wrist, while grey is departed
time and white is future time. After 24 hours, this cycle
renews.

The contest was about future watch designs, so it was really
more about concepts than actual technology. The idea behind was
though to use a movement electricity generator like they exist already
in certain (expensive) digital watches. The display could be done with
OLEDs and connection of the two parts wizh induction technology.
