Yeah I've done a boolean difference for the diamond. For the diamond material I used the IOR file (cubic carbon). In regards to the smaller emitters, I tried to the make an array of small emitters but still not really working well but I'll keep trying. Thanks for the advice =)

EDIT: regarding the diamond booleans, you should make the hole a little bigger thatn the diamond, if the faces touch you wll have problems anyway...
