Perfect sample for the good old "is it real or is it rendered" comparisons.

Lovely!

Great lighting work and incredible model

Is the model from a scan? or actually modelled?

Also what is the material suppose to be.

Thanks again to all! and "gracias" to javier

@sam7 sorry for the delay, I'll send you the mxs tonight
@andretto, the lighting is very, very simple (I have seen that with the easiest lighting I get the better rendering in less time, less noise), is just a plane with a D65 emitter with 200 Power , ShutterSpeed=80, FStop=8.
Image
@faraz, model is from jotero, and there's only 2 materials on scene, the emitter and a Plastic (Color=220,220,220 , Specular= Default, Roughness UV= 0.3) for the Statue and the background surface, so simple.

Nice scans - Must be a phase diff scanner because a laser would just go crazy with the SSS (bounces around the sub-surface lattice and produces lots of noise).

Are you registering the scans and meshing or fuseing individual scan meshes together?

iker

I think there should be a little SSS in the material since marbles and stones used in sculptures of this kind have this property - may make the super-nice render extra-super-nice :D
