That's 6.9 days. A bit much.

btw there's no such thing as "Athlon64 3.4GHz", the 3400+ is so called PR rating of the processor and doesn't reflect to megahertzes - I know since I own one of those myself ;) The real MHz of that processor is 2.4GHz.

the image really looks clean and noisless, one week render sounds a bit scary though.

Very nice image. However, I'm confused as to why this particular scene took 7 days to each sample level 17! It doesnt seem all that complicated. (no offense intended) I dont know much about Athlon processors, so is it because of your processor speed?

I Agree. Time render is exaggerated and the scene is no that complicated and I believe that AMD Athlon is a speed processor.
For the same image at 640x480 the time render is 18h for sample at 21... mah
ps: sorry for my English

Very very clean render seams to be on this resolution. It would be great though if you could post at least a pice of the original render.

THIS IS NOT RENDERED IN MAXWELL

Image

Actualy, I'm posting this just as an optimist note, because this image was rendered in aproximately 100 hours at 1600x1200 in V-Ray 0.5 back in 2002 when it was in it's early beta stage. Of course, I know how much the image sucks, but...

All I mean to say is how much space for improvement in speed there is for Maxwell.

And, excellent image Sirenesoong! Please show us the hi res image.

Regards,

Nenad

p.s. Sorry, I'm not willing to hijack this thread.
