You can't control bump on MXPLastics, MXMetals and there's no bump on MXDielectric, but you can play with the "Glossy Map" to magnify the bumpiness.

i'm working on this subject but i cannot understand how can it be done with glossy map? :roll:

I was playing yesterday with bump and I had the impression that I was magnifying a little the bumpiness with a glossy map ( an inverted B/W image of the Color map image ). I mean, is not the bumpiness control of course, just the brights of plastic bumpiness (sorry about my bad english :( )

here are the quick test (sorry just 1 minute render each, not too much time today ):

hmm.. i got it now but yes, it's not a bumping feature ;)
however i'm not using maya and for max, there's a bump amount parameter and it's working for plastics :)

I hope maya users will have control over all kind of shaders bumpiness so soon!! (next release is almost here!!) , since that (this week :lol: ) this trick can do the job :D
