I tried to create a room where i split a polygon into appropriate sections. I then select a face and extrude it to create a recessed window.

I select that face and give it an emitter texture so that it appears as a window.

However when I go to render the scene maxwell cant export the polygon geometry. :(

If all the faces have the same texture there is no problem but If I apply different textures to different faces of the same polygon it has the same difficulty.

Is this a problem with maxwell or is there something im supposed to do with the polygon in order to apply multiple texures?

Yes, Ive found that apl, liing Different shaders to an objects faces if difuse shaders, ok, but with plastics, this was one reason I lost my bump. BUT I know for SURE that you CANNOT apply an Emmiter to a face with another shaders, Emmiters need to be on an object of their own, Luckly just try extracting with spereate on, on your face to extract the face and creat its own object for that face. Now assign the emmiter shader to the object that was the Face of the window. hope that helps.
