Hi I want to try some animations and dont have the ability to do them in solidworks..

user named Eurofiles was very helpful and suggested maya or 3d max

so i wanted to try and do them in Maya..

however i wanted to import via iges and when I get them into maya here are always some faces missing...especially on curved areas...

i am very new to may and trying it out as an experiment..

do you guys have any tips do get this done in a semin efficient manor ?

or do i have to buy a program ...

any advice would be great also ...

what is your opinion on maya and maxwell do they work well together ...

thanks in advance ....:)

Right Hemisphere's Deep Exploration CAD Edition is a very good sofware to translate geometries to other platforms in case Maya can not import IGES geometrie correctly.
Have you tried converting it to polygones in Solidworks and then export to OBL file?
