Hi!
Try to render with a different "seed" (seed=1 or 2). So MR will execute a differente rendering, and then you can merge them.

Could you post your image?, I am rendering for print at the same resolution and never get rid of the noise, but when you print it, the noise comes as normal as a real photograph noise, the clients likes it!
If you could post an image of your scene setup, that would be very helpful. In the mean time try following Carl007 and catbaby's advice and see how that helps
