how's network rendering... ?

I see command line rendering works just like any other maya renderer.
mayabatch calls maxwell and takes care ...
So network rendering should work the usual maya way...

No other external render engine has this depth of integration.

Congrats to the Maya Plugin Team and Next Limit for a truly integrated blend of the two applications.

Trust in Maxwell Render!

I've been testing it lots too and it's really really great!! Fun to use too.

I've setup and rendered animations (just silly stuff) and it's as easy as batch rendering with Mental Ray or the Maya Software renderer. Before we used to get 1 MXS file per frame exported, but no more!!

It's gooooooooood!

Mike, are there big differences between maya6.5 and maya8.0 plug-ins ?
I'm still on maya6.5, and have no real need to upgrade, but this plug-in could change some things..... 8)

The plugins work the same on all 3 maya versions.

There are some internal differences like the object export that is much faster in maya 8

Will the Plug in be MAC OSX compatible I noticed the video (which looks great and made me feel the lack of response to questions was worth waiting for if you are doing that great a job)

Did not see a realease date...

Thanks...

The OSX build should not be a big problem.
Maya is build very OS oriented.

Does any one know a release date by any chance... I know thats a taboo question... but if windows release is 1 week away and osx another 2-3... I will consider getting a windows license it looks that good.

Thanks

I think it would be strange if not both versios would be released the same time.

Anyway ... I have XP and XP 64 on a Mac Pro and it seems a bit faster generally with all render MR, Modo, Vue then on OS X
