#90969
I joined the Maxwell user family ( ) early September of this year and installed Mayall at that time.

I see there is a new Mayall plugin as of 9/19/05 -- does that new plugin do anything other than add Maya 7 support? If I'm running Maya 6.5, would I receive any benefit (or suffer any setback) by installing the Mayall 9/19/05 plugin?

Thank you.

Quote from release notes:

New version for Maya 7.0.
Objects without Shading Grups solved.
MXDiffuse material integration finished.
Hyperfocal and focus distance information bug solved.
Focus field aid control added.
Command line options bug solved.
Render region now works.
Maxwell nodes better integrated into the Create Render Node window.
Other minor initialization refinements.

Mayall plugin for RC1 not released yet.

Thanks. That's the one I have. I was just wondering if the update on 9/19 had much more than that.

thats the one (0.9.1 Beta)that crashes if I apply more than one shader to an object (by applying shaders to faces instead of whole objects) the one previous to that one I had no crashes when I applyied to faces...
weird cuz the first thing it says is...Objects without Shading Grups solved.

arrrgh frustrating....

Now that RC is out all I need is a way to Export Animations to STUDIO, i noticed studio has a timeline, I dont even mind RETEXTURING IN studio as long as the textures stayed applyed to the objects over all frames...

But, like the other posts have said, max seems to get all the attention.

(not that the RC max oplugin works too well either i read)
