I installed the 1.5.3 maya plugin to Maya 8.5, and after enabling it in the plugin manager, I can see the render options for maxwell, but there's no Maxwell shelf like there was in the 1.1 plugin. So how do I create maxwell cameras, lights, materials, etc?

The 1.5 pdf manual says the plugin documentation is supposed to be in the plugin download package, but there was no documentation for the maya plugin from what I can see. Where is it?

well, I too was wondering where the maxwell shelf was or if its needed anymore.
But basically there is NO maxwell camera anymore. .yor regulare maya camera is your maxwell cam. It just has a maxwell twirl down options.

As far as lights.. you creat a maxwell shader via hypershader - say add emmiter and apply that emitter material onto a piece of eometrythat is your light.

As far as sky and sky dome options those are all under your render globals maxwell tab.

But yes the Documentation should Clearly be available Somewher and I havnt seen it yet.

The only thing i wan on the shelf is an batch animaiton icon.. but that may be under file > export>mxs sequence.. I know you can render these maya files now using the regular maya render batch comand.. but since it would be nice to have that shown in the plugin docs too.

That was what did it for me, if those videos hadn't been available I would have never had a chance of figuring out how to use maxwell through maya.
