Hi all

I have a Maxwell (MX) rendering rendered from camera1.
I also have a Mental Ray (MR) rendering, also renderered from Camera1.

In photoshop, I take these two images, and place the MR rendering on top of the MX, and the two images do not match up.

It is as if the Maxwell rendering is rendering more than the MentalRay do. Do Maxwall not take Maya's Resolution gate in consideration ???

How do I avoid this ?

Hey Cali3D,

Any chance you could post the images? It'll be easier to see what is going on.

Make sure that Device Aspect Ratio and Pixel Aspect Ratio in
render globals match the camera aperture-settings in the camera
attribute editor.
I think this might correct the problem.

no, this is not what cause the problem..

The problem is that Maxwell do not render the Resolution gate pixels, but more something that looks like the viewport pixels.

Maxwell does not have this problem; I do this every day. Go back over your process, step-by-step...
