question.

if i have any shape of nurbs surface, for example a deformed plane. how can i get from this shape a new shape which has the same topology, but with edges that move inwards, on the surface.

in polys, this is called offset in the extrude command, but i don't want to offset the nurbs plane which would move it outwards along the normal.

tricky to write what i mean...

how could i solve this ?

If I understand you correctly, you would still use an offset surface but simply use a negative number or flip the normal direction. So if you were using Rhino for instance, you could offset and then extrude or loft the edges to make a solid.

Sorry if I didn't understand you properly.
