I am rendering a scene with a physical sky and a emmitter and I am still getting just a balck screen on rendering even though it says everything else is going fine... any ideas?

Can you describe your scene a bit? Did you change camera settings (shutter and ISO especially), tone mapping settings or anything else or are you rendering with the defaults? Can you export the scene and check the settings in Studio, to see if they translate OK? Better yet, can you send a scene that exhibits the problem to mihnea.balta@gmail.com?

Well whats weird is I set up a simple lighting scene on one (Non intel MAC) machine and it renders fine I took it to an Intel Mac and it would just show black. I took the same base maya file and rest it up on the intel machine from scratch importing shaders and emmitters from scratchg rendered it STILL black. Took that file over to teh NON intel machine and it rendered fine.

Just realized that... could it be an intel thing? (OK to make matters worse the one that is balck now is an old Mental ray set up file that is on a differ NON intel mac.... shows black) I will play around a little before sending you the file to see if I can isolate what it might vbe a little more.
