Color and bump maps do not render correctly. They render black or with strange pattern. Using a plastic material on plane and a diffuse material with color map on sphere. Same problem as in 1.1.29 that I posted here

Maya 6.01
P4 3.2 gHz, 2 gig ram, WinXP SP2

Didn't have this problem in 1.1.23.

I had a similar problem using Max and cylindrical mapping. My problem looked suspeciousy like the images in your other post; triangular patterns and such.
It was especially noticable in dialectics for obvious reason. To date, I cannot find a resolution. I'll let you know if I do.

Any other Maya users have this problem with 1.1.30? Only two other users (oneshot and brian bullock) stated they had this problem.

Oscar/Victor - is this a known bug? Did something change from 1.1.23?

Yeah I get the same thing with maya 6.5, I have a bitmap hanging on a wall and it looks like tv noise, brian with the black render thing, iker pointed out if you select physical sky, change to custom in the dropdown box, select time and date, then change back to madris the physical sky will work.

i'm having a similar problem in max.
here are two examples: same materials, same settings, only difference the bump map. the first image has bump maps applied while the second one has none. here the bump affects mainly reflections and speculars (both floor and table), which in the first image are clearly wrong.
