Hi all,

I have been strugglin to achieve a nice believable painted aluminum with no luck (for me).

Here is the render with my metal material applied:

Here is my material settings:

And these are examples of what I want to achieve:

Any help would be appreciated :D

Cheers

PS. No matter if I have to use R2 settings or complex IOR, the only thing is that can´t be mapped in UVW because is a parametric object.

In my opinion it would be a good idea to use an hdri instead of the sky and sun,
the realism of a material is very much dependent on its surroundings so as a starting point I would always use a suitable environment as a reference.
Aside from that, personally I steer away from force Fresnel for anything other than pure metals. I would lower the ior a bit (depending on the maps you are using for 90 and 0 degrees)
Also, you could try using the older method (more realistic imo) of one layer with two weighted bdsf elements e.g 60% + 40% and only use other layers for dirt and grease etc
Before doing anything else use a decent hdri because the sky can often make things look too clean

additionally, using two weighted layers with slightly different roughness's (e.g 60 and 30) and very slightly differing colours between each bdsf for the 0 and 90 degree colours Is a good way of simulating the micro bumps you find on that kind of paint, much like you have done only with weighted layer rather than additive.
