Export from Studio and import to MAX ?

Seems kind of silly doesn't it? What's to protect really?

I'm sure Studio is a good program, but I just want to add render engine into the mix, not another program to have to learn and move in/out of. The workflow is already complex enough.

Could NL release a Max friendly version of the simball scene?

The Simball scene was conceived and created for use with Maxwell by Thomas An., and as far as I know, NL is the only entity granted license to distribute it, in the form of the geometry-protected simball.mxs & related files you find included in the Maxwell installation. Of course, there are about a million clones of this scene around by now -- probably you can find something in your format if you do some searching.

Thanks for the reply JD.

Of course I can rebuild the scene or adapt one of the many clones, and it would be pretty close I am sure, but the point of having a consistent scene gets somewhat lost. In theory the same exact result could be generated with Studio and with Max if the scene was available there, that was more my goal.

The less variables, the less chance of problems later :)
