Hi

It is strange to me that in MXMGallery there aren't alloy for jewellry:

1- the metal gold ior is for 24 kt I suppose and it isn't for jewellry...

2-the important alloys are:

A-White gold
B-Gold 18 kt
C-Pink gold

In the past I created this alloys with the proporcionaly real metals with they ior, but I remember that I don't like me the result. Example...White gold too yellow with the correct proporcion ( in the real world) of metals :?
Is there anyone who has these alloys ?
The material editor works well?

Thankyou

Maybe this could work. I've studied them more than a year ago but I can't guarantee 100% satisfaction. I will upload this set to MXM Gallery tonight and you can give it a try. ;)

P.S. This set is using iors.

Hey I gave you your first point for that material.

I don't really like it, I just felt sorry for you because you didn't have any points for it...

I don't mind because, Maxwell doesn't support rendering of points. Where MXM matters....

Thank you Tom .
I have the sensation thath these materials will be very "preciouses" for me :D
A question:
I try only "gold white 18kt" ( very nice) and I have see ..gold 25%, Rhodium 67%,...
This isn't the real world?! My sensation that the material editor no work perfectly, like "in the real world", is right or no?

Yes, all channels. No other emitters.

You're right. In real world, chemical result of these percentages in an alloy would end up with something different and these are only experimental setups. I can't say the visual result is completely accurate but at least it depends on something known. Feel free to change the balance and all other parameters depending on the look you're after. ;)
