Hello folks
in this topic which I followed with high interest a few times the "novice user" was mentioned. That´s what I am regarding maxwell so I´d like to give my 5 cent to this topic
- In the c4d community in my region I´d been given the information that with maxwell there´s no tweaking and workarounding since it´s using an "physically correct" approach. This and the huge materials database was the reason for me to buy maxwell in the first place.
All professionals have to deliver good results in reasonable time. Fast set-up of scenes with predictable high quality is the key
Studying the materials in the user database I found that there´s as many right or wrong as there are different materials. I was astounded that nearly no material uses realscale (while all scene geometry is carefully done in real measure).
So I look for some experienced artist that gives me a clue of how to set up and use materials in an plausible and hopefully universal sort of way.
So hopefully we will see this
- Jason giving his materials in his very own way to us in a quality that I am used of his other materials. Initially I´d stick to this way of thinking until I got the hang of it.
A ongoing dispute of the experienced users on how these materials could made even better. So I can eventually expand my horizon further.
Some standard scene giving compare able results
Thanks for this very interesting topic! Hope this is not the last word...
