thanks a lot!

The original photo was not hi-resolution, so I am a bit surprised that it looks ok in a close up, like this:

I'll upload it to the gallery

I've had a closer look at some of the new materials, and I feel a bit stupid because I see that henriquelana uploaded a great butterfly material yeseterday! I honestly did not know that, but the two butterfly materials are very different (at least different colors)!

Mine is uploaded now, but not yet controlled by the NL team. It might be found here: http://mxmgallery.maxwellrender.com/new ... hp?id=2407

OK, I made myself a real challenge: a ALL-in-ONE material

model is just a slab - one object only.
there is just one material in the scene
material contains brushed steel, plastic buttons, display glass, display image, display emitter, button emitters

test renderings:

Fantastic! Can you post images of that material setup? I'd love to see how it was done. Last time I tried to make an MXI with a glass surface it gave me problems.

thanks!
there is not really a glass layer in my material - just a normal BSDF-layer with the display image covering the emitter. This layer is non-transparent, reflective and has a thick coating simulating the glass.
