Great!!! again and again...

I'm always impressed by your colours in your renders ...they are saturated but in the same time your result is always very realistic.

thanks alexxx! :)

here is a test rendering of a well known scene that can be downloaded for free - the classroom.
The rendering is LARGE, so I'll just post a link (10,5 megapixels, 20 hours rendertime: http://www.filetolink.com/279d908c

Hi Kurt,

Your link opens something called Software Projects. Is this right?

I tried the first link again and it is back Kurt.

The classroom scene; I remember that one. That looks good and also clean but in spots along the windows, the light seems a bit overblown. It is definitely looking PR.

I'm sure that classroom rrendering could be done a lot better. It was just part of a comparison test we made over at the Microstation forum - comparing Microstation, Luxology render and Maxwell. (speed and quality)

Nice Kurt, how were the results of the shootout between maxwell and modo?

actually - modo was not compared to the others, but Luxology was. The Luxology render engine will now be fully integrated in Microstation, and the beta testing has just started.

re Bubbalo:
Maxwell did well - I posted this image to show that you after 4 minutes of rendering can have 4 renderings (multilight). That is 1 min per rendering. Very grainy of course - but still nice sketches:

Thanks Tom,
It's not my scene though - I'ts downloaded from 3dAllusions.com - it was one of their render challenges a while ago. The light and materials are more or less a copy of rockmeds rendering of this scene. I'm just a copycat this time... :)

Thanks's for asking Max! :)
I'm still lurking around in the Maxwellian corridors, looking at doodles and stuff...
I've been to busy lately to have time for creative testing (250-300 working hours in january, 1 day off - and that's tomorrow!...) And before that I've spent some time beta testing a competing render engine - a new/fast one...

But there are still a lot of things/ideas I have not yet tested - stuff that only can be done in the Maxwell Lab... I'll be back - some day soon!

Keep up the good work in your doodles thread - you have some amazing materials there! :!:
