I downloaded the original torrent (something I do all the time... but don't tell the gov't) and the files were corrupted- I received an error message when trying to load them in the Rhino plug in.

I then downloaded and unzipped using 7zip Polynurbs uncorrupted files and when I click on them inside the Environment tab to see which file I would like to use for my scene each one is black.

I preview hdr's all the time as I often use them to light my scenes so I don't know if it is a problem with those files or I am just not doing something correct.

Any advice would be GREAT! Thanks

They look great, but as an alternative, these are free. They look to be pretty good...

Not as glamourous looking as the hdri-locations ones, but useful I think.

Hi gurus!

Ok, now I have to ask... I have been wondering about this for some time, but newer remember to ask here...
How on earth is he (Thomas Suurland - in the image above) getting the shadow on the 'ground'? Is it a separate, modeled ground plane? If so, how does he get the HDR-texture on the ground plane? Doesn't sound easy to me. It must be some other "trick", right? Please explain! :)
Thanks in advance!
