Hi

I want to create a sandstone material. I'd like to make a good job of it but I have no experience of material creation in any 3D app. I'm not stupid either and understand most of the concepts involved.

Is there any guidance out there for creating Maxwell Materials?

TIA

Adri

The Maxwell manual is a good start :) No, seriously.....you also have numerous tutorials in this forum and also on the maxwellrender.com site. There is also a pdf here explaining some of the theory behing Maxwells material system.

so far the best way to learn after reading what Mihai propose you to "at least" know what you're doing, you know... the conceptual things...

good work (no luke here ^^)

finally, you could:
1. post pictures of what you're trying to achieve (ref. pictures),
2. post the textures that you're using and your mxm
3. and some renderings showing how far you're. :D
