Hi

After a good feedback for my recent projects ( http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... =7&t=42635 I've decided to start a new chalenge. I would like to start my first wip topic for that. I hope it will be an additional motivation for me to finish work :) I choose a simple architecture as always. Maybe it looks extremely simple :) Let's play with Maxwell again and I hope that this topic will be helpful for me and this great forum users like you! There are a few screens taken from first modeling stage and one referencing image.

Looks great! Although I'd spend some more time on matching the camera. The horizon and perspective looks off to me on both of the photos.

Hello Neb,

Nice project, really cool.
You worked a lot on the wooden planks and they are looking great.

On the stone, the tile of the texture is visible. You should manage to edit the uvs to hide the tile ideally on the base of the stone (that will be in contact with the ground) and would look better.
Aside from that, your stone texture is too homogeneous (no moss) and too lunar-like. I would suggest you to edit the texture to add some vegetation marks and irregular aging spots. That way, one base texture would allow you to be reused on many rocks, adding different aging and moss elements to each custom rock.

Keep moving!

Yes, thank you you have absolutely right. There is only stone basic shape draft render without target texture. I'm workin now on final stone shape with sculpted details on mesh and correct UV map. I'll add to the final texture better stone texture with moss and ground dirt on bottom as you said. I share next preview with those details when I'll achieve a good effect for me :) I have a lot of work with those stones in that scene :)

This might help its a great free resource for procedurally generated raw geo, try Riverstones and Gravel, and even the grass thingy perhaps.

You need max, not sure which version, works in max 2012. Normally I dont like these kind of plugins but this guy has made some really decent procedural algo's, which can be further refined...

Thanks Eric. Debris Maker looks impressive but I'm Cinema 4D user... It's very useful tool I think. I have Rock Generator for Cinema but I would like to make all models manually by oryginal Cinema tools because I've plan to make a big making of from that project. Of course if you know another good additional plugins for Cinema please share info about them. I'm going too imporvoe my stones at the weekend :)

I use debrismaker a lot and I'm a cinema user, I just hold my breath and open Max for 5 mins each time.. then come up for air.

There is nothing comparable for use directly in c4d as far as I know.

That ones new to me, I have a few very similar ones called; rockgen, rockgenerator, and rock-o-rama, they're all quite crude, but free.
