Hello Everybody!

This is my contribution to the mxm contest. It's a wash machine
The map on the renders are just applied on a box.
Only the right simball is with a displacement (It took 77h16 to render for a 15.93 SL, and I get withe stripes on it  ... so, i have recomposed the simball with some region render
I will post tomorrow the entire machine render with some displace...

so You don't have model in 3d app anymore.

great skill David - but seriously how usefull this material would be? If it is just for fun then ok. But any chance for win in contest ? I think no.

better use your talent for something more .... plain. maybe simple convincing wood material?

Thank you Buballoo.
Thank you zdeno.

It's clear that this material is inusable and certainly useless like a third of the materials available on the mxm gallery. I remain convinced of this: the contest has a single goal, show the strength and the potential of the material editor and the maxwell renderer. I could obviously, as you listed, make a mxm wooden floor from excellents textures as Arroway's ones and so duplicating something that already exist or... just downloading an existing mxm and replacing the different map (This is what we do all the day, because maxwell is so powerfull, that's so easy to make a realistic floor or a realistic ior based material) but was this that was asked? Finally, the work that I present here is a lot of time : maps adjustments, drawings (A base map redrawn in vector and adapted for each layer of material), will probably be usefull for a new user to understand the layer system and the differents aspects of a material - rougness, anisotropy, reflections, emitters... even this contribution will not win, I have so learned that it's enough for me . Moreover, Zdeno, I am impatient to see your wooden floor contribution... :)
