Here's some very early Layout Clay rendering for the bigger project

Tentacles/Girl havn't been sculpted to detail in ZBrush yet since nothing is final for now.

Very nicely done. How do you like working in ZBrush? I'm quite interested in that app. Joe

Thanks, Josephus

Working in ZBrush is very ....lets say uncommon... compared to what we're used to in the software world.
It compares to old UNIX machines for cutting/compositing/color grading IMO.

Once you get a hang of it, its alot of fun though. Also the ZClassroom videos on pixologics site help overcoming the first obstacles in the UI and other mindboggling weirdnesses of ZBrush. But that's a good thing. I'm the kind of guy that loves to get their idea out there as quick as possible before loosing the first emotion attached to it. ZBrush helps ALOT in that field.

All the new 3.5 features that are hopefully soon available for mac too (ZSpheres2 for example) look amazing.
I've never been much of a modeler but I think I found out why: Its no fun w/o ZBrush :D

The way it handles and displays insane high-poly meshes is great.
It's some kind of Mem compresion. not sure, not a developer here.

You can try the windows demo for a month or so.

Thank you very much Joris for the interesting comment...sounds like an app that you either love or hate :D  I have seen a couple of demos (done by an expert) that were nothing short of     I'll download that 30 day demo soon when I have a few days to give it a good trial. Make sure to watch those ZClassroom Videos they have up, otherwise you will cringe asking them

WHHHYYY WHHYYYY SUCH A WEIRD UI??
I like it now btw, just takes a bit to get warmed up I guess :)

Thanks, Bubba!

Here's a try of a more atmospheric look for the layout, probably will have a new pose coming this week so I won't bother adding more tentacles or detail untill I know where this is going

Great sculpt and renders! The idea with tentacles and their shape is really cool ! :D
Makes me wish I had more time for ZBrush and Maxwell!
WHHHYYY WHHYYYY SUCH A WEIRD UI??
 Ah, brings back memories! It's true, without the tutorial videos I doubt it's possible to figure out how it works
(and I started with an older ZB version that could only handle a single 3D object and if I clicked the wrong button it became part of the 2.5D canvas instead...was really confusing :? )

So, is this a known issue?
