Just a model I'm currently working on.

Due to time limitations it only reached SL 13.
Girl added in photoshop.
Still a lot to do, but your opinions are welcome.

Hey Mark, nice start!

The girl past-in looks good! Maybe a bit big !
the grass on the left isn't as perfect as on the right...
I would increase levels on the image, it's too much greyed-out for a sunny exterior.. could be a bit burned out. Currently the illumination looks like a rainy day but the sun is here !

Hi Tokiop and thanks for the reply.

It's so hard getting the sizes right when adding people in photoshop. What I usually do is, add a box of the appropriate height in 3D, do a quick render to see where the figure should be placed, and then add the girl in photoshop. I might have got it slightly wrong though!!!

and you are right about the grass textures. I used low resolution images in areas that will not be that visible, and hight res for the rest.

Finally about the levels. I forgot to mention that the sky was added in photoshop too. I'm posting another version that has increased levels.

Generally it is a good image.... My comments are...
1. I don't like your green very much... Also the fact that there is only one green... All the plants have almost the same color. Especially for the one which is close to the camera (left side of the image) you should add a better leaf texture.
2. Everything is too flat... the deck could use some bump.... the grass too, but I would prefer to see some grass blades as instances... adds a lot to reality.
3. The pool tile should be corrected I think... it is supposed to be very small tiles and it looks a bit bigger than it should...
Also, it would be much better to model a (sorry if it is not the correct word) a drainage channel around the pool... it is easy and it would look better.

Add some details and it will be a very nice image...

So, is this a known issue?
