I would say that it is too flat, too CG.
And what about those tree on the roof?
Aren't they too big?

Good start...sun and shadows seem to be in conflict...trees on top of building show sunlight which doesn't work with some shadows on ground.

Agree, looks a bit flat overall.

Hey guys thanks..how would i make it look less flat?
It was only rendered to SL 7.0.

I am planning to adjust levels/darken certain areas in photoshop?

I already tried to change the sun angle..

The grass is BAD but i do not know where to get another texture.

You are right about the trees jvan..i just photoshopped those in haha

Thanks!

I think you need to work on the materials. Do they have 100% roughness?

If so they shouldn't as a general rule. Put some bump or displacement on them. Everything is too flat and clean. Don't be scared of a bit of dirt or uneven surfaces, as this is what you will be seeing in reality.

Look at materials in the MXM Gallery to get ideas. Use materials from the MXM gallery.

I find that getting a good result is rarely possible without good materials.

Also Even the tiniest of chamfers on edges make all the difference.

Hope this helps

What do u guys think? I did change the material of the walls to a plaster..there should be a texture but not really showing up etc.

A main issue that i am having is print out related..it is not as sharp as i want. Anyone know why? I edited it in photoshop etc.

Ramen!!

Can you clarify WHICH materials are not working? I am assuming the dominant orangey color used for the wall?

I don't know what i'm doing...the render has improved from the first go but still looking like @sss.

dont know about the materials, but i think the verticals should also be corected.
And more poly's on your streetlights.

but much better then the first; it doesn't look like a toy house anymore. :D

the lighting looks much better.
the distortion of the vertical lines disturbs me a little.
try looking horizontally with the camera and adjust the position with a negativ "y offset" like with a shift/tilt lens

Nappy, the main material that i would look at is your roofing material. also with your vertical lines issue, what is the value for your camera's focal length, if it is a wide angle ( less than 35mm) that could be the reason for the odd angle.

dan

So, is this a known issue?
