Hi all,
Just thought I would put up a close to finished render, I would appreciate any and all critiques and comments. Later this week i intend to add keyboards, mice, and add some different screens for the monitors, and hopefully fix my end panel material.

Thanks
Dan

Great Start this is going to be a big WIP! I would suggest using MXI Texture on those monitors! Your materials seem a bit flat could be down to lighting or add more reflection if not! Cant wait to see the rest!

Thanks

How would i go about using an mxi lighting for the monitors?
The lighting is just a dome light, models are on a bent plane.

Nice to see Nextech still doing renderings for their product. I did these for them a while back on vray.

MXI images for the LCD screens are the way to go. Add some light panels to create highlights off some of the countour edges (like the end panels).

Hey Blitzor,
thanks for the advise.
soon after your renderings my boss wanted to be able to do renderings in house for sales purposes. so im just trying to put some things together.

Here is my latest, i updated the monitors with mxi's and i added keyoards / mice. next i think i'll add some other mice cables so they don't look as bad.

Looking better. Need a little more light from behind/left/up shining down towards the front of the desks. Also increase the mxi light from the monitors a bit so they appear to glow. Did you save the mxi as a multilight? You can vary the light intensities with ease using it.

The trading desk business is very competitive, and having in-house rendering capabilities for design proposals is almost a requirement.

Looks clean and nice. I guess an overview POV is needed but it gives the impression of them being tiny. Perhaps you could add HDR illumination to give some variety to the reflective surfaces. Shouldn't the black drawers be a bit more reflective? And the black screens perhaps....but it's difficult to tell in this light setup.

So, is this a known issue?
