Gidday
I am using multilight animation to turn on some lights on this sphere thingy.

When I hide the geometry the light "spreads" out and loses its sharp edge that the geometry provides. When I have the geometry showing the lights show the "unturned on lights" up.

Anyway to get nice crisp white spherical lights without the others showing??

Many thanks for any help and ideas.

I can come close, but it's not completely see thru when the emitter is off:
Start with a hidden emitter.
Mxm with emitter and 1 bsdf.
In the bsdf layer set the transmittance to 255.
Attenuation 100 m.
Nd 1.001
Roughness lambertian

That's as good as I can do.
Maybe there is a better way?

Cool concept btw.

Make all the spheres from that blue metallic material and then duplicate the material, add an emitter layer to it and assign it to the spheres you want to emit light.

So, is this a known issue?
