Here was the front of the building I rendered some time back:

Now it's time to get started on the back. Due to many plan changes, I have chosen to restart the project utilizing what I can from the previous file. I am modelling this in Max9.

First prelim render, I am updating and tweaking some textures using what I have learned from Mr. Verta's tutorials.

What kind of mapping are you using for the stone texture? Your stones turn the corners perfectly!

Nice start.

I am using box mapping in Max and adjusting it in one direction to match up around the corners. Thanks for the compliment!

That is looking nice, thanks for the progressive view...

my only comment is to be aware what your colors are looking like, the bounce from the warm brown ground plane is definitely influencing things... it would be nice to see the comparison between this environment and one like in your original image...

Thanks! Yes, the ground plane is temporary, and it is the standard "cameldiffuseplastic" material. It's definately reflecting too much light up onto the model.

So, is this a known issue?
