Hi

I'm working on a model of a design by Stephen Atkinson.

Night time shot and rendered only up to SL 8.0.

Any suggestions as to ways to improve the scene? I thought about putting a 'moonlight' emitter somewhere and/or some trees to break up the horizon.

TIA

This image is very dark and hard to tell what's going on. I see a fireplace and a building, but I can't even tell if we're inside or outside....

Post a wireframe and maybe some of us can give you some help as to where and what kind of emitters to use.

This is the latest attempt.

I don't like it. I'm trying to get a night time moonlit feel but not getting good results...

Any suggestions?

Use a nighttime HDR(not a daylight map that's just dimmed) , ....fix the grass tiling and are you sure that the corrugated material isn't too dense ? Looks as if it's repeating too much on the side/roof, ... but that could be the camera angle ...... dunno.

Sachform is the only high-quality stuff I could find quickly ......., so nothing cheap and free (not that there's nothing out there, ..but a cursory search yielded nothing).

These are pretty new I guess... (a full DVD) Pretty expensive, ..but a good investment.

These will give you better lighting, ..as for the background, ...your going to either not have one or see if you can find a night time sky that'll match up.

So, is this a known issue?
