Hey man. It does NOT blow :D I'd say my main crit was that its kinda hard to see the details on the black plastic due to lighting/cam angle. Maybe try lifting the cam up slightly so we can see the details on the right and get abit more light in the bottom left.

Looking pretty slick though :)

Cheers,

thanks DrMerman.

I've added a closeup and a gray shaded render for comparison. closeup was about 15 min at sl10 or so (forget what sl i reached on it).

yes it for the back seat passengers. it supposed to attach the head rest of the front seats by clamping onto the poles that hold in the head rest. :D

Good to know that Luis! Otherwise the driver might be distracted from talking on his cell phone by ESPN.

Well in my wife's case it would be 'survivor'.

in my case it would be 'survivor' too (but that's because she won't let me control the remote anymore) :D

i'd say it is a little too dark, & the image playing is burnt & stretched at the left,

but nice modeling!

thxraph
thanks for the kudos on the modeling. This is really the first studio setup shot I've done for production so I'm still trying to get the hang of the lighting set-up. I'm mainly an arch-viz guy so prod-viz is new to me.

I'll tell you what though... they seem to be a lot more fun. :D

Depending on how this image is going to be used, I might do one with it attached to a car seat. For this one, maybe try an emitter down low off to the left to light up that black front panel a bit more. I probably would have chosen a different screen image- something with a wider range of colors, and content more likely to be viewed on something like this.

I hate that finish, but that's a design crit. :) The mounting solution is actually pretty clever.

I hate the fact that TV is still spreading to areas where I don't want it. It enough to see this shit every day @home. And aside from some nice tv-shows like Lost there is just a lot of blabla, noone wants to hear and see. (And I wouldn't miss Lost if it hadn't been there). And here in brasil it's even hazardous when some cab drivers want to see their favourite soap and tend to watch the tv more intently than the street. I start hating portable (and car installed) TVs.

The design is fine, but the LOD could be better. The textures need some rework to show the value of the set, but the renders are fine. Try to use the different light solution superbad suggested.
