NicoR44: Some very nice detailed modelling. Just one question about the spline the wiper arm fits onto - should it have more splines and also be tapered to match the taper of the wiper arm spline - the taper locks the arm and drive spindle together when the top nut (or bolt) is tightened? Just curious because I repaired motor vehicles for about 20 years and have never seen a straight fitting?

Hi Becco, the one used on the Fiat 500R are spring fitted (after 1972), so a little spring-clip is keeping it together, indeed earlier versions were mounted with a small bolt .
