Thanks. Max yes the idea has potential but I have no experience with RF4, so it was my first attempt at trying to get the idea out of my head.

I need to find a fire tute for RF4 and redo it.

I've not had chance to do much but try a couple of material tweaks. I need to re-displace this first head, with less displacement. Will be doing that today.

Awesome as usual but the iris contour needs some diffusion ;)

I guess you can achieve more "dead" look by making different sized pupils - one of them should be just pinhead-size other - something bigger.
You can also make the corneas of eyes different (if you want to make them "translucent") and map the transparency of cornea, so that the opaque translucent parts of the cornea have random-fibery look.
These fibery parts must also have slight bump.
I guess these improvements will make him (or shuold i say "her") look more real.
As a doctor i've seen lots of real dead :)

It looks like the textures aren't high rez enough. The dilated pupils give it an even spookier look :)

:D Thank you.

Tom, I have a new version rendering tonight with a transmittance diffuse map, thanks for the suggestion.

Boris, thankyou for the suggestions, check the 'Get away from me!' render for the iris & cornea variations. I've also tweaked the fibre map with your suggestions in mind. I will try a variation on the iris texture, to give some 'floaty' fibres behind the cornea.

andretto, it's a bit minging isn't it.

Mihai you are correct, combined with some jpeg compression, they are not holding up under close zoom. I did switch to pngs for a while but managed to overwrite them with jpegs again some how. I'll be resizing them and reworking them again soon.

Couple more variations:-

The head shrinker, HDRI lit:-

Physical sky and sunlight:-

'Get off me!' idea. Iris and cornea variations in each eye. Second model is the undisplaced Zombie mesh with a normal skin shader.:-

Currently rendering a version to blend the cornea edge, will post this tonight.

I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions, please keep them coming. :D

Thank you,

Tim.
