Sun getting ready to shine on the beauty, I´m as weird as you ever met, so truley love the path this will follow.
I can do modern houses with endless love, but the strange umph I got with Roman style is erye if combined with a classic garden.

Done work in Rhino, but feel Revit/Inventor is better suited for a weird per like me, need cred.
Somehow I feel you make perfect without ;)

another update...starting to add more materials....all needs "tweaking". It's interesting that some of the textures read better close up...need to adjust them so they look/read good both up close and from a distance....tricky :?

hey you are making a lot of progress !

one note:
you have to switch of the scattering in simulense. it is on by default (even if it says it is off). so in maxwell render switch the settings for simulens on and off. that should fix it.

Thx big K...I'll do that.

You have to set scattering to 0 also. If it's off, but has a number entered, it will still render.

Oh my goodness! That makes a HUGE difference!!!! Why is scattering enabled by default? Here's a render with scattering off...really have to tweak the textures now that I see them   ....interesting, the stone I shot right off a project but is way too contrasty here.
Thx Phil and others for the kind comments, it's very encouraging...I'm learning here as I go

Sorry for the just minor update....working on the construction documents for this project now, so don't have as much time for the fun stuff.
@ ruste...the landscape...that will definitely be a challenge for me as I've never done one...this is actually my first serious Maxwell exterior render
@ Bubbaloo: yes, the textures need more work...these are the brick and stone textures the client wants, so am a bit limited with what I can do with the maps and maybe I get a little weary spending hours on textures. FYI...my goal is not so much image realism, but (Maxwell) lighting realism (which is why I'm here))...I would actually like to see some of the textures become more painterly...suggestive, rather than explicit. I still see the repeating patterns in the brick and stone, but it's better than before...back to photoshop....and thank you for the crit...it's appreciated!
@gadzooks...thanks much...you may be able to see the house in person...it will start construction soon, just "up the road" a few hours from you :D

Thx much Numerobsis...that's actually a very close-looking stone. I'll give that a try, although I'm thinking that the repeating pattern in the current stone will likely be sufficiently obscured by the landscaping...that won't be the case with the brick. I'll look around for a brick alternative as well. Joe

As kindly suggested by some....updated some of the materials with Arroway textures...more to do :) The stone texture that Numerobis recommended is actually very good but I suspect the client may be looking more of ashlar cut stone as shown here.
Rendered this one out of Studio as a test to see how it would work to composite the various parts of the scene...worked great!
