I would like to really get into painting/texturing this the way Rusteberg does, but Sketchup has a real issue with UV mapping anything like this... If anybody wants the raw model when I'm done let me know.

I'm about to move into applying materials -- I've been agonizing over the pose... I'm very constrained by the videos because I have to use HDRI backgrounds that can be found for free online and there aren't too many good options for a nearly 150ft robot.

Ideally I want to use this for a epic battle scene with a few hundred robots and spaceships in Maxwell Studio but I can't go there until I get a few different robots done.

What do you think of this pose?

I plan to take this into Z-brush and work up a few different variations of decals and distressing so that no two Glaugs in my final scene with be identical... but since that is well outside the scope of my video series this will have to be considered the final.

I've been begging for Sketchup to get some UV unwrap capabilities for a while now because projects like this could really benefit from that -- I'd like to keep this all "in house" for the video series but it just isn't possible with the current UV system.
