Oof, it's been a long time since I've had a chance to check in.
I have a final rendered version of this (cooked for something like 180 hours), but I can't show it just yet since I submitted it to a place buying first publication rights. So until they either buy or pass, it's got to stay under wraps. Sorry!
Hervé it's actually an alternate history version of John Henry. In this version the Mayans had conquered the whole continent before anyone showed up from Europe, then in the mid 1800's some of the northern plains tribes banded together and kicked the Mayans back to the south.
